Daily Word - World Peace

Please Pray for World PEACE- today and everyday. Our world needs your prayers. Thanks World Peace Daily Word I PRAYERFULLY DO MY PART TO EFFECT PEACE. Regardless of news reports about conflict or unrest around the globe, I hold to my faith in the promise of peace for our planet. Motivated by the infinite peace of God, I do my part to effect peace in the world. I radiate life-affirming, loving thoughts to any areas compromised by war, misuse, abuse, neglect, or the forces of nature. I affirm the power and presence of Divine Life and Love for members of all nations and communities affected by such conditions. I look for the good in each person I meet. I use respectful, compassionate words that calm combative situations, which brings about peace and harmony. I choose to make peace with others, realizing the ripple effect is peace in the world. To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.—Romans 8:6

Love IS My Religion

This is my one of my favorite ALL time Bible verses. It continues to confound me that the most hateful people in America CLAIM to be Christian. Yet, this one sentence sums up everything Jesus the Christ actually ASKED US TO DO! PROFOUND! Thanks for reading - the Daily Word link is also on my links page. I read this religiously! GOD is LOVE! Michelle Today's Daily Word Simplicity LOVE IS MY RELIGION. When asked to name the greatest commandment, Jesus said it was to love God and to love one’s neighbor as one’s self. The simplicity of this principle is profound. I love God. I am a wondrous part of the mystery, the order, the magnificence, and the dynamic dance of creating and re-creating that is God. With each thought of gratitude, my love for God deepens. I love the diversity of my brothers and sisters, each unique in their own way. I love the creative expressions of Spirit that we are and the gifts and attributes we are here to share. Each day we practice kindness and compassion, acceptance and forgiveness, we choose the path of love. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.—Matthew 22:40

Gratitude - Today's Daily Word

Today, I am grateful for each and every person who has added JOY to my life! Thank you! Today's Daily Word by: UNITY Gratitude I GIVE THANKS FOR ALL OF LIFE’S BLESSINGS. A wise person once said that gratitude is the memory of the heart. My memories enrich my life as the days and years go by. I recall treasured memories that continue to enrich my soul. I choose to review my memory bank with gratitude. Recalling the kindness of others brings a smile to my face and lifts my spirits. I appreciate the people who have shared this life with me. My memories of good times and good people reveal the light of Spirit that shines unceasingly on us all. As I look back with gratitude for the loved ones and opportunities that have brought me great joy and fulfillment, I also enjoy the fullness of this present moment. Right now, I am making memories for the years to come. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.—Matthew 6:21

Happy JUNE!

My celebration starts today. It is official! FINALLY, summer is here (or at least I think so). This year has been BRUTAL. So much loss, so many of my best friends now gone. Makes me wonder why the hell am I still HERE, on this hateful planet in this time and space. While I am struggling to do my best to uplift others, sometimes it feel more like work than joy. That aside, I am getting my reading skills back. Took a well needed time out, and will really be relaxing and enjoying the summer. Will still post as relevant, just not WORKING! Feel free to browse through. There is so much info shared, I could really take the whole summer off! Be Blessed and thanks for reading! Michelle Today's Daily Word Joyful Saturday June 1, 2013 This is a good day, a joyous day. I begin this day in a good mood. This is a great day, a joyous time to be alive. Every day can start this way when I remember the Psalmist’s words: “Joy comes with the morning.” Yesterday’s disappointments have no power to cloud today. I can enjoy this new day; I can do my best; I can think creative thoughts; I can spread peace and goodwill wherever I go. Spending a few moments in prayer early in the morning sets the tone for the hours to come. When I become still, listen, and let my thoughts and feelings be Christ-directed, I ensure that it will be a good day. As I go about my activities, I have a spring in my step, a song in my heart, and a smile on my face. I am in a good mood, joyful, and expectant. In the morning sow your seed.—Ecclesiastes 11:6 The Daily Word

May God Grant You Sanctuary

Nothing to add to this but AMEN!

Sanctuary
I am safe and protected in the sanctuary of God's care.

Jesus reminded us of the importance of having a sanctuary--a place for retreat. He withdrew often to spend quiet time with God and to rest and pray.

In the busyness of my everyday life, I, too, need a place to call my sanctuary, a place where I feel safe and protected, and able to relax, rejuvenate and reconnect with Spirit.

My sanctuary might be a physical space, such as a special room in my home, a church I attend, or a park I like to visit. Or my sanctuary might be a state of mind and heart, where I retreat in prayer and meditation.

In my sanctuary, I release my innermost feelings and concerns to God. I visit it often, and when I'm there, I rest in God's love, safety and support.

He said to them, "Come away to a deserted place all by yourselves and rest a while." --Mark 6:31

Prosperity
I give generously and receive abundantly.

God is the great divine energy present everywhere. As a creation of God, I am immersed in and part of that energy. It is in giving generously and receiving fully that I connect with the God-energy in me. When I act thoughtfully towards another, I receive thoughtfulness in return. As I give love to others, I feel more fully loved. As I circulate my financial resources with joy and gratitude, I find that my life is richly blessed with experiences and sustenance that bring me even greater joy.

I give thanks for friends and loved ones, for joyful activities and for all the good that life offers. I give generously, receive abundantly and my life is truly blessed.

But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.--Matthew 6:33

Spiritual Practice

I am grateful for my spiritual practice.

My spiritual practice is a journey, not a destination. Sometimes I put pressure on myself to be the perfect expression of God. I imagine I must meditate in a specific manner, pray in a certain way, or connect with Spirit using one technique or another. I tell myself I must be a perfect spiritual student and role model at all times.

No wonder I feel like the weight of the world is on my shoulders! When I pause in the silence, I realize this is a spiritual practice and I am a work in progress. Each day I set the intention to be my personal best and then I take authentic action. If I misstep, I simply forgive myself and begin again. I practice being an expression of God in my own, unique, perfectly imperfect way.

Put these things into practice, devote yourself to them, so that all may see your progress. --1 Timothy 4:15
