I took the time this week to watch Pope Francis in Washington, DC, NYC and Philly. The east coast sweep was exhilarating and joyous to behold. While I am not Catholic and associate myself with no "organized religion" I ADORE this pope. No, I don't agree with half of the Catholic church policies (abortion, CONTRACEPTIVES, ordained women, etc) most of my difference is in the inherent believe that woman are not equal to men. But since I know better and live in a country where I make my own choices, I can let that go. That WILL change, but actual deep change takes time and an open mind. Pope Francis has the open mind and I pray that God grants him TIME. When I awoke this morning, I checked the time for the mass in Philly because today was Global Citizens day in Central Park. Tomorrow evening we have a significant total lunar eclipse that offers the promise of sweeping away the old to make way for the new. The "new energies" of our planet will lay fallow throughout the winter, resting in the spaces in our minds and hearts until they burst into bloom next spring. I am so inspired that I know this is all part of a bigger plan, that indeed, divine timing is all over this force for change in our world. As a special treat, Stephen Colbert had Malala on his show last night. Malala Yousafzai is always a joy to see. Her movie, He Named Me Malala will be out this weekend and around the country on October 9, 2015. Are you going to be a bystander in the changes occurring on our planet or will you roll up your sleeves and DO SOMETHING? I care not WHAT you do, there are so many issues that need to be addressed. I invite you to check out Global Citizens and see what and where your skills, talents and light are needed. What inspires you? What will be your inspiration today? Thank you for reading this post and sharing your light. What an amazing week this has been.
