Seems like I am being overwhelmed with messages of Gratitude. My baby sister, Patty, had to remind me that being grateful is something she learned from the Oprah Life Classes and how inspirational those classes were. She also said the order of the universe is in reverse when SHE has to talk to me about being and showing gratitude.
Ah well, lessons come in all forms, shapes and sizes. Thanks Patty! Thank you for coming back to read MORE!
“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.”
~John Fitzgerald Kennedy
an addendum to the above:
“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” – Matthew 6:5-6
Do I need to add ANYTHING to the quote and verse above? No NEED to SAY you are Christian, Muslim, a member of any other “organized religion.” Act as if you are what you proclaim yourself to be. WALK your walk and Talk your talk. Everyone around will be able to both see and FEEL your true heart, your real intention. You can be seen by what you DO, not what you say!
Working on being a spiritual human is not the easiest of tasks. For me, many people say I am always frowning, but I never see myself that way. I am always happy, inside and just thought it came through on the outside.Does not stop people from approaching me, but when they do, they always say, “stop frowning” or “it can’t be that bad” –that makes me laugh out loud! Gotta watch that- no wrinkles now and want to keep it that way. However, I am and always try to be, express and share gratitude with everyone I interact with. Gratitude for being, living, breathing, being able to see, walk and hold a conversation. Things I could not do a year ago. Gratitude for this beautiful abused and mis-used planet we live on. I could go on endlessly but I am sure you get the message.
Be Grateful, in Words, Deeds and by how you live your life each and every day!
Be Blessed and be Grateful!
