“Every generation must recognize and embrace the task it is peculiarly designed by history and by providence to perform.”
“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?”
Dr. Martin Luther King
A little late with this post. I kinda “forgot” Dr. King was assassinated on April 4, 1968. So, I had something to post, just put off the posting. Living today in 2013 with our first black President brings to mind all the murder and mayhem of years past. When a person hates an IDEA enough to kill the person who has the nerve, the audacity to bring that idea into reality, that hater has exalted those ideas into reality. For they create the opportunity to immortalize that person, their ideas and their lives in ways that, perhaps would never come to pass.
IF you are reading this post, YOU have been called here on earth to assist and entire planet to raise the vibrations of the world in which we live. Yes, you, and I are here by CHOICE, not by chance. WE chose to be here, to bring in the new, to grow, share and SHOW the way forward, a way that involves LOVE.
I will be honest, this is not an easy task. The amount of ignorance, stupidity and outright hatred today is astounding. Astounding because there is no excuse for either ignorance or stupidity. Both are choices made by people who are too lazy, too selfish, too self centered to actually Investigate and Research any topic on their own.
Many people are so lazy they will actually parrot what they hear others say (and write) without even checking for themselves if what has been heard was accurate, let alone TRUE!
My expectations are pretty high, of myself and my friends. I fail, often because I have yet to develop the patience to let ignorance ride, to let stupidity stand, to let the haters HATE. I am working on it. I have released friends and frenemies, if you don’t have my best interest at heart (like I try to do with all my friends), I don’t need you in my space -period.
Take a long look at your life, your expectations of your life and if you are living up to what YOU want from your life. The only person who gets to decide how your life is going is YOU. So, take the time and do the hard work of figuring out what you WANT to offer the world and why you are not doing it.
Thanks for reading!
