Great Quotes from Frannie. Just something that has been on my mind for the last several days. It is almost shocking when you actually see or receive acts of kindness from strangers. Definately reflects the world in which we life.
This is Part I. Part II will post on 11/17/11.
“Kindness in words creates confidence. Kindness in thinking creates profoundness Kindness in giving creates love.”
Kind: of a sympathetic or helpful nature
Loving-Kindness: tender and benevolent affection
Such a gentle word that so few appreciate. These days, kindness almost brings a speechlessness, not because it is not recognized, but because it is RARE!
Sure, we are kind (or attempt to be) to our families and friends, but what about that co-worker who gets on your last nerve? Or your boss (and I have had some HORRIBLE bosses). Not easy to be kind with these people is it?
The quote basically requests that you START with your words. Be aware of what you say and how you say it. Also be aware that even the most innocent remark can unleash a firestorm your way. That may have nothing to do with you and everything to do with the other person, but again, no one said this would be EASY!
I would think that THINKING words of kindness would be much easier. Guess it is up to you and what you feel comfortable with doing.
Action of course is everything. Acting with kindness requires a determination that no matter what, you will hold and maintain YOUR center. It is so important to acknowledge that you and only you are responsible for your words, thoughts and deeds.
Let’s use our time to make sure that what we give out to the world is worthy of who and whose we are.
