I want to take the time to wish you and your loved ones a most joyous and happy Thanksgiving. As we enter the final stretch of the year and the season of joy and giving, I have a short message for you. This year has been brutal and uplifting, often in the same week. Time IS speeding up. If you are on the spiritual path, you feel this almost like a quicking. We no longer have the option of behaving badly. Karma is a bitch and she moves swiftly these days. I am at the point that I duck when I have done something awful, or immediately move to repair and cancel the damage.
As we enjoy all the great food, there are others who are not as fortunate. If you have folks on your Christmas list who literally have EVERYTHING, I offer a gift that will work for you and them.
Consider charitable giving. At this time, I can afford to give others the blessed gift of a tax donation AND help my favorite charities. It creates the ultimate in win/win scenarios. If you know what charity they would support, by all means, choose that charity. However, if you do not know, spread your money wisely and fund some of YOUR favorites.
We are all in this together. My republican leaning cousin asked me how we are supposed to pay for all the good things that people deserve. You know, like decent housing and excellent schools, after care for children and food for everyone. I told her we pay by each one helping one other. Just imagine, the world would be like Christmas 365!
Thanks for reading! Enjoy your Thanksgiving. If you have any charity suggestions, by all means please comment below. Add the link as well.
To avoid being SCAMMED, please check out all charities at Charity Watch. Also, beware of Phone Calls, soliciting information. You can always ask them to put something in the mail. If they don’t want to – hang up!
