The ThanksGiving Theme Continues- More Gratitude!

  • Posted on November 28, 2011 at 12:12 AM

Hello,

“There is no such thing as gratitude unexpressed. If it is unexpressed, it is plain, old-fashioned ingratitude. “

~Robert Brault

Practicing being a kinder and gentler person will ripple the effects of those gentle deeds in ways you may never see or fathom. Just believe YOU do make a difference.  And act as if that is true every single day.

The Thanksgiving Theme Continues!

  • Posted on November 26, 2011 at 12:12 AM

Hello!

“God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today. Have you used one to say “thank you?”
~William A. Ward

So many people do not realize the POWER of gratitude. Gratitude changes your entire outlook on life.  Really! It is difficult to be depressed, unhappy, feeling lack in any part of your life when you accept and realize exactly how much you have to be grateful for. I used to hate to hear people say “Thank God you are alive” but after last year, I can really say, no matter how dismal the outlook appears that I AM grateful to be alive.  I am actually grateful to be here, though there are times when I doubt the wisdom of my choosing to stay.

Gratitude means you have stepped outside of yourself and the pervasive “it’s all about me” attitude.  It can never be all about you-since your life, words and deeds affect everyone around you.

The smallest gestures can mean so much to another person. I once let a lady in line ahead of me in the grocery store. I was astonished when she smiled, thanked me and said it was the BEST thing that had happened to her all day. This after 5pm!

You never know how your kindness, thoughtfulness and thankfulness will impact another. Being and acting in gracious ways makes our world a lot more bearable.  When you receive the gratitude and gracious actions of another, it is a reminder of how much the smallest thing can mean.

Remember and act as if you are in gratitude every day.

New Moon Check for November

  • Posted on November 25, 2011 at 12:05 AM

Hello!

The New moon is, November 25, 2011.  Writing a check on the new moon is a tip I received at least a decade ago. I do not know who it came from (but still appreciate greatly), and have used it on a monthly basis ever since. (I have since found my original info on the new moon and will share as soon as I find it AGAIN!)

The purpose of this exercise is (my intuition) to increase your prosperity awareness. Not to say money will be flying in your windows or growing on that proverbial money tree. Just assists in opening your consciousness to receive abundance, and much more of it.

Blank check- leave check in checkbook
Do NOT fill out the date (but you can register the check to keep track)
Pay to the order of: Your Name
$ Pay/Paid in Full (I always use PAID)
On the next line write again PAY/PAID in full! ( I add the exclamation point as PAID in Full always excites me)!
on Memo Line: Give thanks
Signed: The Universal Law of Abundance!

Do every month on the NEW moon. I usually write mine before I go to bed. Another tip I received in the last year was to put your open checkbook (with this new moon check) in the window the night of the new moon. It will encourage in-come from UN-expected sources (which is what we ALL really want)!
Remove the checkbook from the window.

As an addendum, receiving in-come from unexpected sources has been my norm and I am loving it!

P.S. Please place the check in a place you hold sacred. I place mine in my Bible

What are YOU Thankful For?

  • Posted on November 24, 2011 at 12:12 AM

Hello,

This is the best time of the year (other than my birthday). I love the holidays, the lights, the FOOD, family get togethers, fun and drinks.  Holiday party, getting dressed up- just LOVE this season.

That said, Thanksgiving is a time to be grateful. I am grateful that I listened (cause I am kinda hard headed) and actually started this blog. I am getting really good readership number, even more than my actual relationship website. In fact, my site numbers have taken me 7 years to get- and this has already surpassed it in 9 months. Really humbling and gratifiying.

So, my appreciation to you- my reader! Thanks!

This is an article I wrote a couple of years ago. Enjoy!

Michelle

Thanksgiving- How thankful are you?

In this most blessed of holiday seasons (from Thanksgiving to New Years) – what and whom are you thankful for? Giving thanks is a daily opportunity to move outside yourself and acknowledge a higher power. No, you don’t need to be religious to cultivate the habit of giving thanks.

Capitalize on all your blessings. Are you working or is your business still afloat? Be thankful because many do not have jobs and many, many small businesses have folded.  Do you have a place to live and the means for which to pay for that home?  What about heat, water and family? These are things many take for granted as “entitlements.”  They are blessings no matter how hard you worked to get them; if you STILL have them you are blessed.

No partner, soul mate or someone special?  Take a look around your own community. There is much to be done, people to feed and clothe.  This is a perfect time to reach out and help someone else.  Don’t believe the bs that everyone without a job is at fault. They all are not. Don’t believe if folks would just try a little harder, they would not be in the position in which they find themselves.  That kind of thinking fosters separation and allows you to see others as less than yourself. NO ONE is more or better than anyone else!

“But I want someone to love me for me” you say.  Being loved for you means you are ready to accept that person as they are- not as you wish them to be. Having the ability to love another as they are will help bring that person to you. Do you really know what and whom you are looking for? Not a list of physical characteristics, but real character traits. Do they respect your time (show up on time for dates or appointments)? Are they gracious to others and do they smile more than they frown? Do they take responsibility for themselves? Not just in a material sense, but do they make excuses for why something goes wrong?

Just a few things to think about as we end 2011 and move into 2012.

Be joyous- happiness is contagious.  Be kind- it only takes a minute to hold a door open. Thank the cashier at the grocery store.  Be happy- don’t take yourself so seriously.  Enjoy this wonderful holiday season for what it is. If your business is booming, be thankful and tuck some away for the slower times of year. Plan a well deserved vacation- alone if you must.

Thank you for taking time to read this short essay.

It is much appreciated and I appreciate YOU!

Thanksgiving – Thanking God for YOU!

Today’s Angel Message
====================

My dear friends, we love you so very much.

In this week of Thanksgiving we give thanks for you! Each one of you reading this has been striving diligently to live a more loving life. Each one of you has a dear and caring heart. And it took each one of you tremendous courage to come to the earth and to remain here during turbulent times.

So celebrate yourselves dear friends! As you give thanks around your Thanksgiving tables for those in your life that you so dearly love can you also give thanks for your own presence here upon the earth? Can you look in the mirror and say, “Thank you God for making me, for allowing me to be here at this time, living on this amazing school called earth! Thank you God for both what I perceive to be the blessings and the challenges, for these have shaped me and made me into the beautiful, kind, and caring person that I am today. I love you God. Thank you for breathing life into me today and all days.”

Life is a gift dear friends. It is short even if you live to be 100 years. It is an adventure for your soul! In truth, you are one with the light and love of God dear ones, nothing less! You are simply striving to find your way back to that truth as the raindrops form the rivers which seek the oceans. Give thanks! This in and of itself is cause for celebration – that God’s love can take shape and human form, and interact with other manifestations of God’s love! Give thanks for the beautiful being that you call “you!” We certainly are thankful for each and every one of you!

God bless you! We love you so very much.
